The big bummer was that we had somehow missed the SUPER SECRET SIGN-UP DATE runDisney Virtual Summer Series. A VIRTUAL RACE. WHERE YOU CAN JUST MAKE AS MANY MEDALS AS YOU NEED. It makes TOTAL SENSE that runDisney would want to sell out during a pandemic and not make room for all the folks who had wanted to participate in any of their races. Not like runDisney to pull something like that, AT ALL (sarcasm). It was beginning to look like I was going to have to be disappointed.
We did the 5k very early on a lovely Friday morning on the Jordan River Trail (of course). As we get further into fall, I get less and less upset about the lack of shade cover and try to enjoy the magnificent mountain views.
Chad had found this race several years ago and signed us up and apparently we were still on their emailing list. I was glad to see that this is a yearly event and the medals are super cool EVERY YEAR. The only thing that would make them cooler is if Michael J Fox came with them.
