August was a lot (more) of getting up early to run so we could run in slightly cooler temperatures. Slightly cooler than 99 degrees. Bleh.

But this month we only had the one race. Just one… just one?!?!

I wanted to somehow work in “where we are going we don’t need roads” but we do. Damn my lack of creativity and poetry. I think the summer heat stole it.

Run For It Marty! 10k

Chad had found this race several years ago and signed us up and apparently we were still on their emailing list. I was glad to see that this is a yearly event and the medals are super cool EVERY YEAR. The only thing that would make them cooler is if Michael J Fox came with them.

As usual, we ran this on the Jordan River Trail and I spotted several hummingbirds and one small fox. Which is almost like Michael J Fox. Almost.
