This past weekend we were walking home when I realized that Bella’s paws were all red. I once dogsat for a family who told me that they exercised their dogs by throwing a ball up a paved road and the dogs would chase after it and then return it, and repeat – and then she told me to be careful because they would play until their paws bled. So, of course, I immediately thought of that and my face melted off and I died.

2011: A Year In Review

We welcomed our first niece on 11/11/11. She is adorable and most importantly has gotten us off the hook as far as being parents for at least 3-5 more years. I will only pretend for a sentence that Bella isn’t our furbaby and we are, obviously, parents.

We adopted a dog. Also, see above for best looking member of our family. I often have trouble getting over how much she looks like my childhood dog, Peepers – I have already given up trying to worry about how much it will cost to put our future kids through enough therapy to get over their parents loving the dog more than them. Oh well, I can’t keep all the good book writing material to myself.
