2014: A Year In Review

Read MoreChad turned the big 3-0 this year, graduated from Residency and has a “real” job! I use quotation marks because when he was in residency he worked 80+ hours a week, now he works 40. It’s nice, and weird, to have him home more. But, no one is more excited than Bella! Now, if only he could get his patients to stop asking when he will be turning 18 – then it might feel REAL for Chad.

I was hoping Santa would bring me one of those – but instead he brought me a Kindle Fire and now Chad can’t get me to leave the gym because I’m busy watching movies on the stairmaster. Win.
Read MoreWe welcomed our first niece on 11/11/11. She is adorable and most importantly has gotten us off the hook as far as being parents for at least 3-5 more years. I will only pretend for a sentence that Bella isn’t our furbaby and we are, obviously, parents.
Read MoreWe adopted a dog. Also, see above for best looking member of our family. I often have trouble getting over how much she looks like my childhood dog, Peepers – I have already given up trying to worry about how much it will cost to put our future kids through enough therapy to get over their parents loving the dog more than them. Oh well, I can’t keep all the good book writing material to myself.
