2020: A Year In Review

This year was rough, especially for those who aren’t middle class white people on up to the 1%. That isn’t to say it wasn’t tough watching friends and loved ones forgo their social responsibilities and hold gatherings, travel, and basically pretend that people weren’t dying and healthcare workers aren’t in crisis.

There were also good moments, where we saw humanity in others, we visited with family and friends on zoom, we exchanged homemade foods on each other’s doorsteps, and we learned to listen to those who are being persecuted and silenced. We were fortunate enough to survive this year and it appears that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. That doesn’t mean we stop fighting for justice, listening, and wearing masks. But it does inspire a small amount of hope.

Here’s to 2021, may it find you healthy, safe, and happy.
