Well here we are, at the close of another year, and despite my checking repeatedly – it was in fact only one year since I last wrote one of these, not 10. 2025 was giving “This has been the longest week of my life and it’s only Tuesday.” This year brought about a lot of preparations, a lot of hurry up and wait, for changes that are coming. What will 2026 bring? Well, that is for the 2026 Year in Review. This is the 2025 one. Keep up.

Penny and Max spent the entire year being cute. Except for that 10 day period where they had a nasty stomach bug that landed them in the Urgent Vet several times and removed several (likely unimportant) years from mama’s life. They promptly returned to being cute. And have definitely not learned the importance of leaving alone random “food” items we find on the ground outside.

This section could be referred to as, “Costumes” or also, “The only time Sarah & Chad remember to photograph themselves.” After years of threatening to, we finally got to celebrate Snowbird Oktoberfest in style ( 1 ). We did another stint as The Black Widow Bride and The Hatbox Ghost for the Oogie Boogie Bash at Disneyland ( 2 ). Finally (for the photos, there were more costumes not pictured) we went to a fantastic Vegas themed party and were not the only people with the notion to dress up as characters from The Hangover ( 3 ). We were also not the only people after that party to experience the hangover.

As usual, we did the running things. Chad (and Bob) did the baseball things. And fortunately for Dodger fans everywhere, the Dodgers won the World Series (again).
